If requested to hand in urine or stool samples then these should be handed in to the office (in the relevant containers and specimen bags) by 12.30 at the latest.
If you have never had a blood cholesterol test then you may request one from the practice nurse.
In respect of pregnancy tests we recommend that patients buy and use the commercial pregnancy tests kits available from any pharmacy. These give an instant result and are more sensitive than the routine lab test.
In a non urgent situation when you have a routine appointment with a doctor, you may visit and receive the test results from the doctor. Alternatively you may telephone reception after the period of time advised by the person who has taken the test.
For results please phone the surgery between 2.00pm and 4.00 pm
We would appreciate it if you could refrain from telephoning in the morning as our lines are normally extremely busy dealing with appointments and requests for prescriptions. Results will not be given out at this time.
When you attend for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. Please bear this in mind and call the surgery once sufficient time has elapsed.
Please note that we have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. We will only give out results to the peron they relate to, unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
