Reception is open from 08:30 – 18:00 Monday to Friday and all consultations are by appointment. For acute/urgent problems seeking early appointments please telephone early in the morning. Our practice nurse is experienced in telephone triage and will arrange for early assessment of more urgent problems.
PLEASE NOTE DUE TO THE HIGH NUMBER OF PATIENTS WHO MAKE APPOINTMENTS AND THEN DO NOT ATTEND – WE HAVE MANY WASTED APPTS!! THIS IS TIME WHEN THE DOCTORS COULD HAVE BEEN SEEING OTHER SICK PATIENTS.
PLEASE CANCEL APPTS YOU NO LONGER NEED AND ALLOW OTHER PATIENTS TO USE THEM.
We have a texting facility to remind patients of their appointment times – please give staff a current mobile number to participate in this service. If you do not wish to participate please contact the Practice Manager to opt out.
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.
There are disabled toilets in the waiting room and we have disabled car parking spaces.
We have automatic sliding doors at our main entrance and we now have a bell on our practice entry door for disabled patients to request assistance in and out of the practice from a member of staff. All doors within the practice area have access for disabled patients and we are happy to assist patients should they require help.
Dial-a-bus is available for patients over 80 years, registered blind or on Attendance Allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Higher Rate Mobility Component and War Pensions Mobility Supplement (enquiries to 0845 128 4025)
There is a hearing loop in place. We can arrange text messaging from the practice mobile phone or use our practice email to assist deaf patients.
We have LARGE PRINT practice leaflets for visually impaired patients- please request one from reception staff or telephone and we can post one to your home.
Should you or any members of your family require the services of an interpreter, please contact the practice manager and this can be arranged.
